Vertical is best!

Aurore is shipping Evacuated Tube Collector (ETC) solar water heaters all over India and usually there's a fair bit of breakage of the fragile evacuated tubes due to rough handling and poor road conditions.
This has been a major headache, and extra tubes had to be sent with each shipment.

Recently we have tried a new way of transporting the tubes, vertically. It turns out that breakage can be greatly reduced this way, and from now on this will be the standard way in which we will ship the evacuated tubes.





Underneath the vertical boxes of tubes an extra layer of some soft material can be placed (extra cardboard, a mattress or even old tyres) to reduce breakage even further.
